Happy Mother's Day

One last but not least woman I want to say thanks to is Holly. She has been fabulous to my children, and I am so grateful for that. Thanks for being there for them Holly. I really appreciate you!

Happy Mother's Day

Here's to my own sweet Mama, I love you, I'm always amazed at you. This woman raised ten children and all of us felt love and warmth from her. She is so humble and quiet and a super cook. I stand in awe of you Mom. I'm so proud of you! I love you! Can't wait to see you this summer!

Happy Mother's Day

Am I such a blessed mother or what? Beki is as awsome a Mom as imaginable! She takes care of these two boys that are faster than you can imagine! I tried to run after Cael at Disneyland, and lost him after just a couple of minutes. Thank goodness Adam was my backup and knew just where to look for him. Beki keeps up with and cares for these two active boys with agility and grace. Love you always Beki!

Happy Mother's Day

Jillra, had to get a more recent photo with all three girls in it. I'm so proud of you, and all you do. I love your amazing family! Even as a little girl you could look at me and know when I needed something. Thanks for being on the same wave length, and so much more. Hope today is awesome for you!

Happy Mother's Day

You must first guess who this lovely lady is! She is of course Leisa. This just shows one day and how fun a Mom she is. She gets down and celebrates different things (like Mardi Gras) to teach her children about different celebrations. She is a wonderful woman, a fun and loving Mom, and super sensitive at heart. Leisa, can't wait to go to our super secret meeting place together. I love you forever, I like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be.

Happy Mother's Day

Just wanted to let my children know that on Mother's Day I feel so very blessed to have such wonderful children! I have lived my happiest moments when I am in the company of you. God surely knew what He was doing when He sent the four of you to me. Thank you for being a part of my life! Thanks you for loving me, and for being good strong children. Thank you for tolerating my insecurities. Thank you for being there for me. I love you Forever and Always!

Out To Sea....

I think that the picture pretty much describes it all. I was thinking about putting the picture up on facebook but Jill talked me out of it and probably for good reason. So I thought that I would at least share it with all of you. There's also a video that went along with the cleansing ceremony. If you want to see it I'll email it to you. I cranked it out to sea pretty good, I hooked it a little bit but I got some good distance on it.
I am Bo

Christmas

Christmas this year was very quiet, we missed having you here. I'm not complaining I promise. Just looking forward to next year! Love the real reason of the season, the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. He makes families eternal, and I am so very grateful for that!

Big Bear California

What a pretty backdrop for a wonderful Thanksgiving. We really appreciate being invited, and spending a wonderful time with family there.

Thanksgiving 08

On our way to and from Big Bear, we stayed with Rick and Beth. I really liked this picture of Wayne with Rick. What great friends they are. Thanks for your hospitality! We love you.

Christmas Survey!!!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper, bags are just lazy and not as fun to open.
2. Real tree or Artificial? There’s nothing like the smell of a REAL tree.
3. When do you put up your Christmas Tree? Ooh, that’s a tough one, I think that right after Thanksgiving I’ll want to decorate for Christmas but I’ll have to wait a little bit longer to put up the tree because I wouldn’t want it to be dead by the time Christmas actually got here.
4. When do you take the tree down? New Year's
5. Do you like eggnog? I love it, I just treated myself to some this last week after I finished a bunch of paper and a few exams.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? There are a few that stick out to me: my first BMX, my sega genesis, my letterman’s jacket, my longboard skateboard (that was really good, so good that it got stolen).
7. Hardest person to buy for? I don’t know, I would imagine that I’m pretty hard to shop for because I never know what I want. But when I do know I am pretty specific and therefore easy to shop for, so I don’t know.
8. Easiest person to buy for? My future wife, I’ll just get her things for the kitchen and more cleaning supplies, she’s gonna love it, maybe that’s why I’m not married yet.
9. Do you have a nativity scene? Nope, maybe someday.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail, but I haven’t done that since my mission.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Reflective ankle straps that ensured that my slacks wouldn’t get caught in the chain of my bike, that was a pretty good one. “Gee, thanks. What is it?”
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? A Christmas Story
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Christmas Eve is on the 23rd right? So that means either the 22nd or 23rd I’m there.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Nobody’s ever given me a twelve pack or a bunch of 2-liter sodas for Christmas, if so I would have put that under worst gift ever.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Egg nog, and yes I know that it says “eat”, that’s the best part, the thicker the better, you have to chew that egg nog.
16. Lights on the tree? I like the classic look of white lights on the tree but there’s a special place in my heart for the color flashing lights we had on our tree growing up.
17. Favorite Christmas song? Angels We Have Heard on High
18. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? You know Dasher, and Dancer, and Prancer, and Vixen, Comet, and Cupid, and Donner, and Blitzen (he must have been a football player). But do you recall the most famous reindeer of all Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer….
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? I think I’ll go for a star.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Pajamas on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas morning.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Commercialization.
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? I don’t really know what this question means, I would have to say Christmas would be the theme I’ll be shooting for…
24. Favorite food for Christmas dinner? Fresh rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh rolls, ham, fresh hot rolls, stuffing, left over rolls heated up in the microwave, green bean casserole, and let’s see, what else….rolls, hot rolls, fresh hot rolls would be nice.
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? Flash drive, shoes, a pony, fresh hot roll recipe, burt’s bees wax, ipod…
26. Who is most likely to respond to this? I’m probably the last one.
27. Who is least likely to respond to this? Me but I showed you.

Christmas Exchange

Jill and I decided to pull names for our Christmas exchange this year. We tried calling Bo and Leisa, but they didn't answer their phones. It is a $25 maximum for presents.

Since Leisa's family will be on a cruise on Christmas Day, I think that we should get everyone their presents by December 15th and than we'll have a day to open our presents from each other. What do you guys think? Please let me know. Also, I think we need to give ideas of what we would like in the comments section.

5. My favorite Wii game is Mario Kart Wii and Guitar Hero 3.

7. My favorite author is Matt Christopher.

Another tag...

Thought this one would be fun for my posterity! Here are the rules:Write 7 random things about yourself.Tag 7 people at the end of your post.Pass on the tag. Here it goes...

1. I love love love my children! I too wanted 10 Jillra, and it broke my heart when my I saw that my life was not going to allow me to have that. Still, I feel the most self worth as a Mom (yes, even though I have made lots of mistakes). Nothing has brought me the joy that I felt raising my children.

2. I love love love my grandchildren! I know everyone knew that was coming. There is nothing like the babies of those children that are yours, only now grown up (and just how did that happen so fast?). I just don't see them often enough, but there is no one I would trust more to take care of them than my own children.

3. I love to be active, I ride my stationary bike ten miles a day, and would do more if I had the time. I also love yoga, but I like to do yoga with Loyce and Bobbi best, not by myself. I love to play volleyball, soccer, baseball, and swim. Some of these things knock everything out of me now, but I still love them. I don't like to watch sports on TV though, I like to play them.

4. I love to create things, flower gardens, quilts, yummy food, and crafts. I like to be able to finish them quickly, so if it takes too long or I can't do it well, I lose interest quickly. There are still tons of things I would like to try, like carving, woodworking, and welding... weird, huh?

5. I love teaching first grade. I love seeing light bulbs turn on while I teach. I love teaching in a school where my students need the stability of a safe environment. I love to make my students feel special, and successful. I hate report cards!

6. I love the Gospel, I have always felt the love of my Savior in my life, even when I did and maybe especially when I made mistakes in my life. The number one thing I 'hope' for in my life is that my family can be together forever in the hereafter.

7. I am a bit of a perfectionist, without having the talent to be perfect. S0 I am constantly frustrated. I am constantly trying to find what it is that I can do, that may be I can do differently and amazingly well. Maybe in the next life... ha!

I tag Bo, Leisa, Loyce, Bobbi, Cyndee, Hydee, and Ryanne

Christmas Exchange

I know that this is super early, but can we pick names for Christmas soon. I've been horrible about getting everyone's birthday presents to them on time, so I need lots of time to shop and send presents.

Does anyone remember who had whom from last year? Or are we just going to draw names every year? We are keeping the $25 limit right.

I love and miss you all tons.

First day back to School for Nana

Monday, school started, and here I am after a hard day at work. I have 19 students this year so far, I sure would like a couple more. If that doesn't happen, the powers that be could take a teacher away from our grade level and we could have 26 or more students. In first grade that is way too many! I love you!

Happy Birthday Dear Ryanne!

Wow, Just can't believe the Ry is 11 years old. I went through my pics and decided that this is my favorite picture of all. Isn't there just a beautiful light in her eyes? I love you so much Ry, I wanted to talk to you yesterday, but the phone I called went to message. Hope you know that you are very special to your Nana. I love you like crazy!
Wayne says Happy Birthday as well.

The elk

We just couldn't believe the elk, the antlers looked so big that one would wonder how they held their heads upright. Amazing. They were close to the road, and it was a good thing there was a fence in between us, and it wasn't rutting season. Fun to see them, and fun that they didn't care one way or another if we were there.

Camping

Here is just a taste of Twin Falls, they are so breath-takingly beautiful! We just couldn't stop looking at them. It was good to have Kalli, Bobbi, and Jamie with us. Chase was so happy to have friends to run and play with. Children love teenagers! These teenagers are happy and easy to be around. Fun times.

Camping with the Cooks and the Bowmans

Well I tell you what, this was such a fun trip. We met up at the KOA near Twin Falls (we stayed in cabins). Cyndee and Bill and Chase came with their trailer. What a way to travel! Matt and Chrysta came up in their own car as well. It was so fun to see them.

The snake woman

So we see snakes in our yard every now and then. Wayne was changing out some of the water in his pond and this little guy was trapped with the water level being too low for him to escape. So I caught him in the net and played with him a bit and then let him go.
